Beginner Rock Climbing I

Dates: October 13th 2012
Whether you’ve never climbed or only climb in the gym, if your goal is to climb on real rock, then this is the course for you. This 1 day course covers:
Climbing etiquette, equipment, knots, safety, climbing commands, belaying, and the opportunity to climb on real rock.
The rest of the day is spent climbing on top rope protected climbs topping out at 40′. Climbs range from easy 5.6 to moderate 5.10. Small instructor to student ratios combined with professional instruction ensure a quality learning experience.
While you wont be able to set up your own anchors yet, it sets you up to take the Beginner IIand Rapelling & Anchors Course. For a course that covers all the basics and anchors, see our Gym to Rock course.
