All new guests to the NTOPC that do not have ATC belaying experience or tying into the harness with a figure eight follow through are required to take the “Basics Course” in order to climb at the facility.  Climbers at the NTOPC are required to use an ATC style device for belaying and must be tied into the harness with a figure eight follow through to climb.  Our instructors will teach you what it means to climb safely while at the NTOPC as well as provide a tour of the facility.  There is a separate area in the training room to practice these skills prior to getting on the big walls.

Cost: $8.00

New Guests that are required to take the course will receive a free day pass to return to the facility.

Join the Guides at the NTOPC for three days of backpacking and camping as we hike the Cross Timbers Trail in Lake Texoma.

Costs: $125.00 for members $140.00 for non members, includes all gear, transportation and meals.

We have completed installing the new padded flooring in all the silos.  Each silo now has its own color of green, blue, red and yellow.

Next up is the flooring in the weight area.

NTOPC Semester on the Rocks Students Head to Joshua Tree National Park California.

NTOPC Semester on the Rocks students will be taking their first lead climb at Joshua Tree National Park in March.  A favorite climbing area of NTOPC Lead Rock Instructor Christopher Gibson who says “I go to J Tree in March, its a great learning experience so I decided to offer it up to our students.  Students will fly out to Cali where Chris will pick them up at the airport and then head to J Tree for three days of climbing before flying back to Texas.  The Semester on the Rocks Series is open to all climbers with a desire to learn the art and science of climbing.

Annual Outdoor Membership, includes besides being totally awesome.  This option is for members that are pursuing climbing and adventure as a sport. Includes indoor benefits plus enrollment in the Semester on the Rocks Series. Member Benefits Include: Access to climbing courses, climbing and backpacking trips, mentoring & support.

This option is for those that aspire to climb on real rock utilizing traditional climbing methods.

The NTOPC Pro Shop is now open and stocked with gear ranging from harnesses, chalk bags and climbing helmets to clothing, headlamps, quickdraws and stickers.  We will continue to add to the selection of gear based on our students outdoor needs.
